Fatshark Predator V2 Review
Hi, welcome to this Fatshark Predator V2 review. I’m assuming you know what FPV Goggles are all about. If you don’t, here’s a quick intro on FPV goggles. FPV stands for First Person View. FPV goggles are generally used with remote controlled helicopters, planes, cars, boats, as well as consumer drones.
What makes FPV goggles so special is that they give you a feeling as though you are in the vehicle itself, as though you are controlling it from within. If you have never tried an FPV goggle before, I suggest buying one soon – it’s an experience you won’t forget in a hurry – you’ll feel like a bird flying in the sky and watching the scenery below.
That’s exactly what you get with the Fatshark Predator V2, which is one of the best FPV goggles available in the market. Fatshark is a company that makes the most popular FPV Goggles for the consumer drone market as well as a variety of video transmitters and receivers for quadcopters. The Fatshark Predator V2 is one of its most popular products, along with the Fatshark Dominator V3 FPV Goggles, which I have reviewed as well.
Let’s talk about what I liked best about the Fatshark Predator V2 FPV Goggles – the price. The Fatshark Predator V2 costs $239, which is an excellent price for an FPV Goggle of its quality and it is certainly cheaper than the Fatshark Dominator V3, which costs $349.99. The Predator V2 gives you full value for your money, and more!
You get a full set up with the Fatshark Predator V2 goggles, such as a goggle case, a transmitter, a balanced fighter, an FOV camera and a 1000MaH Li-PO battery. It is ideal for newbies to FPV flying and gives you a range of around 400m to 500m with ease.
The Fatshark Predator V2 is compatible with both the 5.8 GHz and 2.4 GHz video transmission frequencies. It works with a 25Mw transmitter and can be upgraded to 100Mw, 250Mw and 600Mw transmitters as well.
The Fatshark Predator V2 FPV goggle is extremely comfortable and fits anyone wearing it quite comfortable. It gives you a terrific view, as though you’re in a multiplex, watching a blockbuster on a large screen. I loved the clarity of the pictures on the Fatshark Predator V2 as well as the wide field of view.
Fatshark sells an HD camera to go with the Fatshark Predator V2, you can mount it on your RC aircraft or a vehicle. Or you could mount a GoPro camera on your quadcopter. The images will be relayed well enough to your Predator V2 FPV goggles without any time lag whatsoever.
