FPV Drones For Sale – Introduction

If you’re looking for information on the best FPV drones for sale and FPV racing in general, you’ve come to the right place. FPV stands for “first person view”. FPV racing is the most exciting new sport to have hit consumer drone hobbyists and recreationists. It combines the excitement of flying a quadcopter with the thrill of racing.

FPV racing is the same as playing a computer game or a video game, except that it is real. Indeed, FPV racing gives you the feeling of being in a Star Wars movie – it is pulsating, non-stop action.

FPV Drones For Sale – Get Started

But to get started with FPV racing you need a quadcopter. There are so many options available in the market. Which one should you buy? Almost all FPV drones for sale are tiny and cost little. The Hubsan X4 is a good example of a quadcopter used for FPV racing. We will talk more about it later.FPV Drones For Sale

The idea is to learn how FPV racing works by using the smallest and least expensive quadcopters that you don’t mind losing to a crash or two, before you move on to something bigger and more expensive. Here’s what you should know about FPV racing…

#1. It is really very difficult. There are some great FPV racers whose videos you have probably seen on YouTube, such as Charpu  and  Metalldanny, but for most of us, FPV racing is one of the hardest things to master.

#2 Be prepared to crash a lot when you are FPV racing. That’s why when picking FPV drones for sale, choose those that are small and inexpensive. Crashing a full-size quadcopter is very risky, especially if it happens to hit a car or a person, and very expensive. Why take the risk?

So, when getting started with FPV racing, start with a micro drone, one that is really, really small and can FPV Drones for Salefit into your palm. It looks like a toy and is in fact a toy, but a great way to learn FPV racing. Most of the top FPV racers around the world were initiated into the sport by flying the Hubsan X4, which is both tiny and inexpensive.

And when you decide to move on to a full-size quadcopter for FPV racing, you have two options before you…

FPV Drones For Sale – Best Options

You can choose to buy a ready-to-fly (RTF) or almost-ready-to-fly (ARF) quadcopter OR you can build the quadcopter yourself, by buying all the parts such as motors, props and frames and so on.

It’s hard to tell for me, without knowing you, as to which option would suit you best. Well, if you are someone who likes to tinker and build things, maybe you should build your own full-sized quadcopter. If you just want to go out there and get started and money isn’t an issue, order a full-sized quadcopter for FPV racing straightaway!

Regardless, it is important to pick up knowledge of how quadcopters work and where each of the parts should be fitted, so that you will know what to do if the FPV drone breaks down.

You may start off with a drone that costs not more than $150, such as the Hubsan H107D X4 FPV Drone. In fact the Hubsan X4 costs $128.59 at Tmart.com, and is a palm sized quadcopter that comes with an integrated FPV camera. It captures 720 x 240 resolution SD videos and takes 0.3 MP still photos.

Another option you can try is the Blade Nano QX. It is a really cheap drone that costs just $59.99 on FPV Drones for SaleAmazon. It’s small enough and light enough to be flown indoors and yet surprisingly stable in air.

Remember to buy FPV Goggles as well, along with the FPV drones for sale. They are not cheap – and can set you back by $300 to $400.

I wish you all the best, and remember that if you have any questions or comments you can post them in the comments section at the bottom of any blog post. It’s great to hear from you.

I have never owned a drone but I did have a remote controlled plane once and I can clearly see how these would be so much more fun….I have definitely got to get one of these and begin a new hobby of racing them!

Great article…full of detail and comparison options! This makes me curious…When did you first get introduced to drones and what sparked your interest in racing them as well as going to all the work of creating a website that’s all about drones?
