The DJI Phantom 3 Professional Review – What to Expect?
The DJI Phantom 3 Professional a brand new quadcopter launched by DJI, which is the market leader in drone technology targeted at hobbyists. True, as you will find in the DJI Phantom 3 review, this is not the cheapest drone in the market, and perhaps not suitable for an absolute beginner – but there is little doubt that in Phantom 3 Professional, DJI has an absolute winner.
The DJI Phantom 3 Professional is already a vast improvement over its predecessor, the ever popular Phantom 2 Vision+, and this is large because of its far superior drone photography. Certainly, if you have at least some experience with flying drones, and already own a drone for beginners, the Phantom 3 Professional is what you should go for next – it is a vast improvement over anything you may have tried so far.
In most user reviews online, one of the biggest complaints people had with DJI was with the quality of the drone photography. As you will find in the DJI Phantom 3 review, the company has taken a big step forward and tackled the issue head-on, which just goes to show that they really care about what their customers have to say about their products online. In fact, we have tried many drones, very few offer a live feed of the same quality, which is both crisp and smooth and works with an excellent operating range.
What’s most impressive about it is the brilliant video quality – you can record a 4K footage on to a memory card and then stream 720p clips directly on to YouTube. The very impressive Flying App that comes with Phantom 3 Professional makes it so simple to control the drone using from your iPhone or Android, and also to share the live streaming videos on YouTube with your friends.
What we also liked about Phantom 3 Professional was just how stable it was in the air. It stays in one place with ease if that’s what you want it to do. Its 3-axis camera does a great job of ensuring that the video footage remains smooth all the way through, even when the Phantom moves at a high speed of 35 miles/hour.
Can the DJI Phantom 3 improve? Yes, it can certainly improve as far as its functionality is concerned. For instance, it would be wonderful if the battery charge could last longer – but then, this is an issue with all consumer drones, and is pretty much a work in progress. Perhaps the next generation drones that are made available in 3-4 years will have much better functionality, but for now, the DJI Phantom 3 Professional is as good as it gets.
