The Hubsan H107D Review
Hubsan H107D is a mini quadcopter that is basically one of the smallest FPV quadcopters on the market. It comes with a built-in 640×480 camera that sends live video to the remote control for first-person view. That is only introduction before our Hubsan H107D review, which will hopefully help you in your buying decision.
Features and Specs
In the quadcopters world the Hubsan’s other X4 quadcopters have already proven quite popular with hobbyists. The previously-released H107C model also has a camera, although it doesn’t provide a live feed. Instead, users have to watch the recorded footage after the fact.
The biggest change from the previous models is the amazing LCD screen attached on the controller. To be more specific it is a 4.3-inch color LCD screen in the control unit.
This makes it possible to fly by first-person-view (that it why there is FPV in its name), although a wider lens would make doing so significantly easier. It’s also possible to start and stop recording via a single button on the controller, which make things a lot easier.
The drone measures about 114 mm diagonally. The build quality is pretty good and it feels solid in hand. It wouldn’t get damaged easily. The cover of the drone and propellers are made out of light quality plastic.
In terms of battery life the Hubsan H107D comes with a 3.7V 380mAh Li-Po battery. It provides around 7 minutes of flight time and it takes 30 minutes to charge it. You can charge it with the USB cable that you will get in the package.
As we previously stated, the Hubsan H107D also comes with a built in camera. The live video distance is around 100 meters which is quite good for such a camera. It can really produce quality photos and videos, besides the small resolution.
One of the good things about this drone is the ability to make modifications. Also the price is quite good. For a price of around $150 you get the Hubsan X4 H107D and transmitter. The transmitter has the usual flying sticks and mode button. It has also got a MicroSD card slot in case you wish to record videos.
In terms of flying you will start the drone really fast. It is easy to navigate and control, but please note that since there is no GPS, if you lose it you wouldn’t be able to track it.
The X4 FPV sells for around US$150. Is it worth it? I would say yes, provided that: You don’t plan on using the video for anything other than FPV flying. The built material and flying time are solid. The transmitter is a great addition to it, it can give you great aerial videos. It is a great little quadcopter to have fun with your friends and family. We hope that this Hubsan H107D Review will help you in deciding whether this quadcopter is good for you.
I wish you all the best, and remember that if you have any questions or comments you can post them in the comments section at the bottom of any blog post. It’s great to hear from you.
