Walkera F210 3D Review
Walkera is a drone manufacturer that I truly admire, and I love how it comes up with one great mini-drone after another. I have viewed the Walkera Runner 250 in the past, and have reviewed the new Walkera Furious 320. In this Walkera F210 3D review, I’m going to take a look at a brand new drone from Walkera that has already gone through several changes in the short time it has been around.
The Walkera F210 3D is a classical mini-quad FPV drone that is ideal for FPV drone racing. This new drone is an updated version of the Walkera F210. It comes with a new flight control system that is an improvement over that of its predecessor. It has a durable body and a modular design. Let us quickly take a glance at the Walkera F210 3D features.
Walkera F210 3D – Features
The new drone from Walkera comes with an optimize receiver and is capable of delivering a high response time. It has highly efficient and powerful motors that deliver rapid acceleration in the air. It has a 5.8 GHz WiFi connection and an OSD system. The Walkera F210 3D camera delivers video at 700 TVL with a visual range of 120 degrees. There is an HD night vision camera as well. The drone has been through a series of drop tests, crash tests and other types of resistance tests and has been built to last.
Walkera F210 3D Controller
The Walkera F210 3D consists of the entry level 7CH remote controller Devo 7, which is something that is available with all Walkera drones. So, no surprises there. The Devo 7 is a universal controller and works well with all sorts of drones, whether they are quadcopters, helis or unmanned aircrafts. The Devo 7 controller is on the heavy side as it consists of eight AA Ni-Cd batteries. To make it lighter, you can replace these batteries with the lighter and more affordable 2200mAh 15C Li-Po.
Walkera F210 3D – Flying Experience
The Walkera F210 3D has a new flight control system that allows you to control the drone better and more effectively. It allows you to do some incredible stunts while still in the air. The mini-quad comes with 4 flight modes, such as Intermediate, Advanced, Manual and 2D stabilizer. The 2D Stabilizer mode is the same as what was available with the older version of Walkera F210 and gives you a flight time of 8 to 9 minutes. The other modes give you a flight time of 5 minutes, but are better for FPV drone racing as they are capable of reaching higher speeds.
Walkera F210 3D – Camera and FPV system
The Walkera F210 3D consists of a frontal 700TVL camera which captures excellent pictures even in dim light. You can also mount other FPV cameras on the drone such as the RunCam Swift should you wish to. This would give you a better field of view. I have no real complaints against the F210 3D’s camera or FPV system, but I have no doubt that you can improve upon them by making slight modifications. You will learn how to do that with experience.
The Walkera F210 3D – Final Thoughts
I am pretty impressed with the Walkera F210 3D, it is one of the better mini-quad FPV racer drone that I have used recently. It costs $379 on Amazon, which is not a bad price for it. But you will have to pay more to buy FPV goggles to go with it, so that you can have a full FPV racing experience. If you are either a beginner or an intermediate FPV racer, I would definitely recommend the Walkera F210 3D to you.
I wish you all the best, and remember that if you have any questions or comments you can post them in the comments section at the bottom of any blog post. It’s great to hear from you.
